Cherokee County Narcotics agents arrested three people on drug charges following execution of a search warrant in Cedar Bluff Thursday afternoon, March 14.

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, agents received information that Jonathan Matthew Nicholson, 26, who was listed as one of Cherokee County’s Most Wanted, was at a residence at 5405 Alabama Hwy 9 North, where they encountered and secured Nicholson along with two other individuals who live at the residence. They were identified as Timothy Alan Hall, 25, and Megan Brianna Bing.

Agents detected the strong odor of marijuana, observed partially smoked marijuana cigarettes laying in plain view, and obtained a search warrant. The search resulted in discovery of numerous other items of drug paraphernalia and other evidence of drug use along with several firearms.

Department of Human Resource caseworkers were called to the scene to assist with investigation and placement of Bing’s infant daughter, who was also on the scene. All three adult subjects were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Nicholson was booked on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of promoting prison contraband, and Hall and Bing face charges of chemical endangerment due to the presence of the small child in the residence, Shaver said.

The investigation continues regarding possible stolen property being found in the residence, and all three subjects are being held pending bond, Shaver said.
