Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 2 pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Clinton Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard extending military honors. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 12 noon until the service time. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Daphne Williams Gresham, Cedar Bluff, daughters, Mrs. Mary Maxine Gresham Mathis, and her husband, Harry, Rome, and Ms. Sandra Gresham Wiseman, Huntsville, sons, Rufus Howard (Buster) Gresham, Jr., Rome, Ricky Vance Gresham, his wife, Rita, Rome; sisters, Mrs. Rabun Killinger, Rome, Mrs. Betty Ann Jarrard, Rome, Mrs. Mary Sue Waddell, Rome; brother, Charles James Gresham, Jr., Rome; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Henderson was the son of the late Charles James Gresham, Sr. and the late Jamie Dee Copeland Gresham.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Mary Ruth Statham Gresham, son-in-law, Thomas H. Wiseman, daughter-in-law, Eunice Gresham, and by a sister, Doris Johnson.
