MR. STEVE "BOO" MCGATHA

Mr. Steve “Boo ” McGatha, 45 of Centre, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013. Mr. McGatha was a native of Cherokee County. He was a member of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and drove an ambulance for Cherokee County EMS.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Melvyn Salter and Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday. Perry Funeral Home directing. www.perryfuneral.net. Memorials may be made to a memorial fund set up for his children at the Teachers Credit Union or the family will accept flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna Marie Swilley McGatha; sons, Allan McGatha, Michael McGatha both of Centre; mother, Cheryl Williams (Jerry) Pope of Dutton; mother-in-law, Linda Swilley; brother, Keith (Kelley) McGatha of Section; brothers-in-law, Allan Swilley, Todd Swilley and Chad Swilley; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
