MRS. RACHEL P. GLADDEN (POLLY)

Mrs. Rachel P. Gladden (Polly), 95 passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Cherokee County Health & Rehab. Mrs. Gladden spent many years in Etowah County (Black Creek Community), and the last twenty years in Centre, AL. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ for over seventy years. She was loved by all who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and faith were an inspiration to all.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm at Perry Funeral Homee on Thursday, January 17, 2013 with Ministers, Emerson Blythe and Mancel. Director of Music is Jeffrey Graves. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Perry Funeral Home the day of services. Burial and graveside services will be in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery; 323 Antioch Road, Collinsville.

Mrs. Gladden was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-five years, Dock Gladden; Parents, Kitty and Henry Brumbelow; sisters, Gertrude Lolies, Velma Owens, Ruth Gladden, and Alice Bobo Romine, and special granddaughter Diali Pruitt.

Survivors include her children, Noah Gladden, Centre, Shirley (Bruce) Gage, Gadsden, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,sister, Josephine (Perry) Hathcock of Gadsden and several very special nieces and nephews.
