According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a suspect was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 30 and charged with receiving stolen property.

Christopher Gerald Hill, age 36, of Centre, was charged with receiving stolen property after deputies and investigators recovered electronics, fishing equipment, camping equipment, propane bottles, and a small boat from his residence, Shaver said.

Several other items were recovered and investigators are reviewing reports in an attempt to locate the owners and return the property to them. Most of the recovered property came from an area near County Road 450 near the Spring Creek Campground and the Johns campground area, according to Shaver.
