MR. CHRISTOPHER LEE CODY ALLEN

Mr. Christopher Lee Cody Allen, 22, of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Allen was born in Rome. He was a 2008 graduate of Gaylesville High School, where he excelled in their football program. Mr. Allen attended the United By Faith Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, hike and fish. He was employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections at the Hays State Prison and was a member of the Georgia Correctional Officers Foundation.

Mr. Allen is survived by his mother, Doris Allen; sisters and brother-in-law, Jennifer Leigh and Gary Duane Nichols of Rome, Sarah Elizabeth Allen, girlfriend, Andrea Starrett; special nieces, Marissa and Myracle Nichols, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services for Chris were held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brown and Rev. Douglas Crumbley officiating. Interment followed in the Johnson Cemetery.

Mr. Allen will lie in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.

Mr. Allen was the son of Doris Perkins Allen and the late Lee Randolph “Randy” Allen.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Randy Allen and a niece, Jazmine Alese Nichols.
