As of 9:15 p.m., Nov. 6, with the totals in, election results for Cherokee County are reported as follows:

CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE, 9TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, PLACE NO. 1: David A. Rains, 4,410 votes; Shaunathan Bell, 5,079 votes. In DeKalb County, with 47 of 54 precincts in as of 9:25 p.m., it was reported that Rains had 9,089 votes to Bell's 11,189 votes. Based on these initial numbers, it appears that Bell will be declared the winner in this race.

CHEROKEE COUNTY JUDGE OF PROBATE: Sid Garrett, 4,561 votes; Kirk Day, 5,134 votes.

MEMBER, CHEROKEE COUNTY COMMISSION, DISTRICT NO. 1: Wade Sprouse, 4,489 votes; Randy Jones, 4,978 votes.

MEMBER, CHEROKEE COUNTY COMMISSION, DISTRICT NO. 3: Lanny Starr, 4,470 votes; Marcie L. Foster, 5,063 votes.

SUPERINTENDENT, CHEROKEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION: Brett Keasler, 3,857 votes; Mitchell Guice, 5,663 votes.

MEMBER, CHEROKEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, PLACE NO. 3: Suzanne James Bishop, 4,712 votes; Linda Archer, 4,601 votes.

MEMBER, CHEROKEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, PLACE NO. 4: Dewandee King Neyman, 3,260 votes; Mark Green, 6,315 votes.
