Thomas was named the OVC Special Teams Player of the Week, while Hough was named both the OVC Defensive Player of the Week and OVC Newcomer of the Week.
Hough, from Lovejoy, Ga., had two interceptions to help Jacksonville State claim a 31-28 overtime win over No. 17 Tennessee State on Saturday. Hough intercepted the Tigers on the third play of the game and the Gamecocks marched down the field to take a 7-0 lead.
Hough, who also finished with three tackles in the game, recorded his second interception with just 6:07 left in regulation and returned it 14 yards to end a Tennessee State drive.
Thomas kicked a 44-yard field goal in overtime to lift Jacksonville State to it's fourth straight win overtime. It was the second game-winning kick for Thomas this season and it gave the Tigers their first loss of the year, snapping a seven-game win streak.
The Snellville, Ga., native made all four of his extra points in the game and also handled the kickoff duties, averaging 60.4 yards on five kickoffs.
