Cherokee County woman dies in auto accident

A Cherokee County woman died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Cherokee County Road 22 Thursday morning, Aug. 16. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. approximately 13 miles east of Centre.

Drivers involved in the accident, according to the state trooper report, were Mary Borders, 26, of Centre, who was driving a pickup truck and Michael Davis of Piedmont who was driving a Waste Management truck.

Cherokee County Coroner Broderick Smith pronounced Borders dead at the scene. A passenger in Borders’ vehicle escaped injury. Davis was not injured, reports said.

Responding agrencies included the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee EMS and McCord’s Crossroads Fire Department âlong with Alabama State Troopers.

What?!! "roods" did you mean "roads"? I am sure you did not know this woman or you would not be writing so carelessly. Her parents and friends are hurting and you have to make some smart a__ remark. Just hope it never comes back on you.

Not "mocking" just asking a question. Could have been a word that I did not know the meaning. The point was not to judge something or someone. Everyone makes mistakes and hopefully they learn from them before something bad happens.
