Basketball Roundup: Sand Rock boys, girls claim wins at Pleasant Valley

PLEASANT VALLEY - Matt Graham netted 17 points and Chad Thompson tallied 10 to lead the Class 2A, No. 10 Sand Rock Wildcats to a 48-31 victory at Area 13 rival Pleasant Valley on Friday.

Dylan Mackey added eight points for the Wildcats (8-2, 2-1).

Sand Rock takes part in the Cherokee Invitational Tournament at Gaylesville on Saturday. The Wildcats will take on Collinsville at 3:40 p.m.

Sand Rock girls 62, Pleasant Valley girls 16

PLEASANT VALLEY - Madison McCullough scored 10 points and Courtney Rowe added nine points, five assists and five steals in leading the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats past Pleasant Valley 62-16 on Friday.

Ashley Norris finished with eight points and eight rebounds for the Lady Wildcats (4-8, 4-0 Class 2A, Area 13).

Sand Rock plays Collinsville at 2:20 p.m. Saturday in the Cherokee Invitational at Gaylesville.
