MRS. SHIRLEY JEAN HONEA

Mrs. Shirley Jean Honea, 71, of Rome, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012, in a local hospital. Mrs. Honea was a native of Rome and Floyd County. She had been a resident of Rome all her life and attended East Rome High School. Prior to retirement Mrs. Honea was associated with the Dari-King.

Mrs. was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Leonard Honea, and her parents, Noble Dial Agan, Sr. and Lois Pearl Martin Agan.

Mrs. Honea is survived by a daughter, Nicole “Nikki” Honea of Rome; three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Brandon and Tabitha Miller; two brothers, Noble (Yvonne) Agan, Jr. of Armuchee, and Randall (Carol) Agan of Texas Valley; one sister, Delinda Agan of Rome.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Honea will be held on Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley’s Funeral Home with Reverend Jackie Culberson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
