CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors made new coach Leah Monteith Goss’s debut a successful one in volleyball action Thursday. Cherokee County swept Class 4A, Area 11 rival Hokes Bluff at home in three games, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-16.
Madison Millsaps led the charge for the Lady Warriors (1-0), posting seven kills and six aces. Heather Hubbard added 15 assists. Megan Dupree also had seven kills.
Next up for Cherokee County is a trip to the Albertville tournament on Saturday.
